As a service industry company, our success or failure
hinges almost entirely on the ability and motivation
of our people. Quite naturally therefore, we place great
importance on staff recruitment. Where we take over
staff from another contractor, it is not simply a case
of carrying on 'as you were'.
We strongly believe that the way to get the best out
of individuals is to spend time with them from the start
to allay any worries they may have. Group sessions are
followed up with one-to-one interviews so that we can
build up a picture of each member of the team and ensure
that the best possible use is made of their skills.
For major recruitment campaigns, we advertise on a local
basis, involving both the job centre and regional press.
For every vacancy, we issue a job description and person
specification, enabling us to look very carefully at
each applicant so that our final selection is always
the most suitable candidate for the position.
Where a senior appointment is to be made, we encourage
our clients to be part of the final selection team,
thus ensuring good working relationships are established
from the outset.
