Personnel &
Recruitment Procedures
We recognise it is vitally important that staff selection
procedures are strictly and consistently adhered to.
Successful selection and recruitment is crucial for
our security guarding service and depends upon the following:
-
- Full understanding of the routine and emergency
procedure.
- Knowledge of the premises and working environment.
- Commitment to recruit to a standard which is clearly
defined.
- A thorough selection process carried out by competent
experienced management.
- An in-depth understanding of the particular needs
of the assignment.
- The need to ensure that the image of your organisation
is reflected in our own people.
The basic procedure for recruitment is initiated by
the Commissioning Plan. From that first meeting with
our new customer, the Operations Management team establishes
the various individual requirements for the Security
Officers who will carry out the assignment. Our recruitment
is geared specifically to that assignment and is not
a ‘blanket’ selection drive.
Once site surveys and consultations are completed, the
Operations team will have sufficient information to
select the Site Team of dedicated Security Officers
and subsequently, site trained Security Officers on
existing assignments, who can be made available for
sickness and holiday cover. With this profile, we initiate
a recruitment process which starts with our existing
experienced Security Officers and then knowing how many
new recruits are needed, an advertising and selection
process to achieve the right balance of experienced
and new Officers.
In addition to in-depth personal interviews second interviews
will always be arranged using a different interviewer.
Where practical we welcome the opportunity to carry
out second interviews at the assignment, which gives
potential applicants the opportunity to experience the
working environment and at the same facilitates involvement
in the final selection procedure by you as our Customer,
if required.
The recruitment process must be carefully planned and
executed in order to achieve a smooth start to a new
project and to minimise the “settling down”
period. Hence a suggested Commissioning Plan is always
prepared and then agreed with the client. Executive
undertakes to fully commit all the necessary manpower
resources to ensure a successful start to your contract. |
