Training
Identified in a recent opinion poll of top businessmen
as the most important ingredient to success, training
is recognised by Executive as the prime route to the
achievement of its objectives of becoming a total quality
organisation and service provider.
The following paragraphs provide details of a selection
of the training courses we run, which we believe offers
one of the most complete training and development packages
available within the security industry.
Induction Training
The Secure Services Division of the Executive Group
provides induction and professional training required
to comply with BS 7499 Part 1:1991 The Code of Practice
for Static Guarding and Mobile Patrols. Our SITO qualified
trainers carry out the SITO Induction Training Programme,
details of which are enclosed later in this section,
and all successful candidates receive a SITO training
certificate. As you may have already gathered we have
very exacting standards and as such all new recruits
are expected to achieve a minimum pass mark 75% Should
the candidate not achieve this level we unfortunately
are unable to progress with the candidate’s services.
Having said this it is exceptionally rare for this to
occur as our recruitment methods ensure that all personnel
are able to achieve the requisite level prior to job
offer.
Specialist Training
We assess the need and benefit of additional specialist
training on all security assignments e.g. lift rescue,
additional first aid, health & safety, Customer
Care and fire prevention and seek ways of funding this
through negotiation with our Customers. If you have
asked us to provide this training in advance please
note that the training allocation is provided at cost.
Assignment Training
Where possible, we will devise a programme of structured
training for a dedicated Site Team at prospective assignments,
agreeing this in advance with the client, as part of
the commissioning process. Our experience has shown
that by ensuring that this training is fully structured
and clearly task orientated the necessary learning curve
is significantly steepened.
Development Training
Our experience has taught us that all too often staff
are promoted sometimes to the highest level without
any investment in training. No wonder that some Site
Managers are then out of their depth when trying to
lead and motivate the teams for which they are responsible.
To counter this Executive have developed an in-house
programme of training for all of our supervisors and
senior staff that gives them the tools to fulfil their
role effectively. This creates a higher degree of staff
retention and allows staff to have a clear career progression
programme.
