The Technology
RoleCALL II uses leading, industry standard products
but is designed to be run and managed by staff with
no Information Technology training.
The software permits simultaneous multiple users of
all functions – the largest installation to date
has 60 users on line. Its use of advanced relational
database techniques ensures that any data or roster
changes are instantly available to our Control Room
staff.
The Software
RoleCALL’s unique ‘Virtual Tee Card’
display shows duties exactly as they would appear on
a traditional Tee Card system – letting you see
from 7 to 31 day’s duties on a single screen.
Several sites can be displayed on a single screen to
facilitate movement of officers between sites to fill
unallocated duties.
The display uses colours and graphics to provide the
controller with the information he needs to roster effectively
within the rules. Duties are colour coded to indicate
day, night & afternoon duties; unallocated duties;
unconfirmed duties; completed duties; confirmed duties;
paid duties; billed duties; extra-cover; no charge and
training duties.
The screen displays information that assists controllers
in matching officers to sites, taking into account skill
requirements and other criteria. |
